Contact Layers
Contact Layer Dressings are indicated for moderate to heavily exuding wounds and can be applied directly to the wound and then covered with a secondary dressing. A contact layer is ideal for use on wounds with fragile surrounding skin because it is non-adherent and incredibly gentle on the skin. Wound Contact Layers can typically be left in place for multiple days and they permit the passage of exudate through the dressing.
